Thank you for being here. My books are open for 1:1 sessions including energy healing and creative mentorship for February. You can have a look at my services here.
Truth is stranger than fiction, and this year, we find ourselves deep within the ring of the surreal. Every now and then, our culture blesses us with magical art that helps us make sense of the intangible. The eerie textures of feelings that don’t quite have a home, either within us or in the public discourse. It’s like trying to explain The OA to a friend. How on earth do you even sum a show that felt like a soul to soul transmission into words? And with the nodes now shifting into Pisces and Virgo, the Twilight Zone is our perfect guide for just that: a framework to ground what our logical squiggly brains can’t compute.
The Twilight Zone is an anthology series that warps and subverts science fiction, fantasy, and psychological thriller, often featuring strange, Stephen King-esque scenarios that challenge reality and societal norms. Each episode pushes the boundaries of what it means to be human in the modern world, where the rules don’t always make sense and certainly don’t apply to everyone. Imagine all those Betty Crocker housewives and husbands, sitting down with their TV dinners, blissfully unaware they’re about to watch a show that’ll perform that conformity isn’t just bad…it can kill you too.
I’m gagging for a new zeitgeisty show that is equally as insanely edgy, socially critical and reality shattering. As we now stand on a new karmic crossroads, otherwise known as the ‘Nodes’ we see parallels to The Twilight Zone. Imagine the North Node as a guide, a mentor figure pushing the collective down a certain path, while the South Node acts as the shepherd at the back, tending to the flock so we don’t stray too far. With the Nodes now in Pisces and Virgo , mutable signs known for their supernatural, shape-shifting abilities, you may even already feel the subtle shift. Left might not mean left, and right could take you upward.

The liminal zone is basically my default setting (thanks to my 12th house stellium brain) so The Twilight Zone is the perfect metaphor for how we’ll all be brushing up against the surreal backdrop of both our inner and outer worlds. This is intended, the cosmos wish this was so, because it’s in this exact space where our creativity finally feels like a sacred calling, not just a time filler. It’s where we’re asked to sit with the incomprehensible and irrational. Not to make sense of it, but to intuit the deeper wisdom and forces at play. This is where logic gets left behind, and intuition and imagination become our greatest weapons, cutting through the maya shadows with Kali’s blade.
One of the most highly regarded episodes of The Twilight Zone is "Eye of the Beholder" , which follows a young woman undergoing experimental treatments to appear "normal" What is "normal" in today’s world? Boundaries are being broken, and the borders of our reality are in constant flux right now. It’s spooky, and it’s okay that you can sense it in your bones and there’s no one outside with a megaphone shouting out the words you feel you need to hear. In my view, we are in alien territory, and we’re pretty much experiencing a collective disintegration of what we once considered stable and fixed.
Pisces and Virgo would probably hand us a pamphlet as we step into its mysterious chambers, asking us questions along the lines of this...
How can we expand our capacity to hold both social and personal anxiety without crumbling under pressure? How can we spark conversations that shape culture, rather than passively awaiting the instructions of external forces—whether they be mainstream media, your favourite influencers, or the data scientists of the digital age?
Perhaps, the answer lies in closing our eyes and letting our fingers hover over the pulse of our creative instincts and intuition, without being consumed by existential terror. It also requires us to be mature adults in how we devote our time, energy, and attention to the world. We can follow the path of the visionary, much like Rod Serling did in his time. Shakespeare understood this psychic landscape well. 'Are you sure that we are awake? It seems to me that yet we sleep, we dream.' In these words, we find an invitation to awaken to deeper truths, not through rigid logic, but by opening up to the dreamlike mirage, the mystical, and the irrational.
But let’s not mistake this call for blind spiritual inflation. For the love of all mercies, please don’t get preachy. I have a feeling the opinions surfacing in the collective classroom are only going to become more polarising and cutting, as everyone strives to crawl their way toward 'the light' We all hold a different key to unlock the gates of wisdom. None are more superior than the others. So, let’s offer each other some grace, okkkur?
Archetypal guides you absolutely need in your tool box for the next 18 months at least:
The Trickster: The Trickster thrives in spaces where conventional rules and structures are upended. Rather than adhering to the established order, they break free from the constraints of tradition, creating confusion and disarray. This behaviour isn't necessarily malevolent, but rather serves to disrupt and question existing boundaries. What societal or personal norms do you follow without question? What would happen if you decided to challenge or break one of them?
The Magician: It produce results outside the ordinary rules of life. Creative institutions will likely have more open arms to welcome in people who are doing something different. Your unique essence is the ultimate crown jewel.
The Guide/Mentor: Some of us may need to switch up our mentors, what type of character do you need in a mentor to take you across these newer thresholds? One of my mentors for the next 18 months is Octavia Butler, a wise Crone, and an artist of words.
